This medication requires a prescription from your doctor.

0.5mg solution for atomization or nasal irrigation

Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that reduces swelling and mucus in the nasal passageway. Inflammation is the main cause of congestion for many cases of sinusitis. This atomized spray or nasal irrigation works well for treating:

  • Allergic rhinitis symptoms, such as congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itching, or swelling of the nasal passageway
  • Nasal polyps in the lining of the nasal passage

Betamethasone Administration Methods

The most popular administration method prescribed for this medication is the RhinoClear Sprint atomizer. An atomizer is used to pump the liquid betamethasone medication to the nasal passages and sinus area. The compact electronic atomizer releases the liquid  medication into mist that gets inhaled into the sinus and nasal cavity regions. The device is battery-powered and easy to use, with multiple nasal adapters to fit adult and pediatric patients.

Another method is the use of a nasal rinse bottle. This method of nasal irrigation involves sending a medicated saline rinse into the nasal passages with a bottle that is hand-squeezed. This method provides a mechanical flushing of the nasal passages with saline along with administering the medication.
